Today, we are happy to give you a preview of a new and upcoming feature, designed to offer guilds more regular PvP activities in Persist Online. We are talking about: Sector.
Firstly, we wanted to thank all of our testers who participated in the latest July playtest. During the test we gathered a lot of new data regarding many different aspects of the game, especially regarding our recent progression changes. Also, a big thanks for all the created feedback posts, suggestions and bug reports (in-game and on Discord).
As we continue to evaluate everything we received and adjust our plans, we want to take some time to give you an overview (like we did in April) of what we are currently working on and what is still to come for the dev team in the next months.
In preparation for the start of the new Playtest, we released a new Pre-Alpha patch that includes several balance and weapon changes as well as bugfixes.
In preparation for the next upcoming playtest, our new Pre-Alpha patch includes content updates, graphics and technical improvements, as well as several bug fixes.
This update introduces our biggest progression overhaul yet, featuring reworked item requirements, redesigned Safehouse progression, new consumables, harvesting experience, new Elite enemies, improved spawn mechanics, and countless balance, quality-of-life, and technical improvements across the entire game. Based heavily on community feedback and playtest results, these changes lay the foundation for a more rewarding, intuitive, and engaging game experience.
Greetings, Scavengers and welcome to Part 2 of our Progression Overhaul blog.
In Part 1 we talked about some of the larger progression changes coming to Persist Online, including the shift from skill-based requirements to character levels, Safehouse progression adjustments, updates to badge distribution and XP for harvesting. Today, we continue by giving you more details on the next wave of features and improvements making their way into the pre-alpha with the next game update very soon:
Welcome to Part 1 of our two-part Developer Update series focused on the next pre-alpha update, where we are changing many of the core progression systems in Persist Online based on feedback and suggestions from our community. Our main goal is to make character progression more intuitive, consistent, and ultimately more rewarding, while giving players greater control over how they develop their characters and gear.
