Greetings, Scavengers!
Following our last playtest in April (thanks to everyone who participated), we wanted to give you a quick update on what we’re currently working on and what’s coming over the next weeks and months.
Content-wise, the team has shifted its focus toward the next pre-alpha update. This update includes several major changes to the character progression in Persist Online — including adjustments to character and skill tree leveling, general itemization changes, safehouse balancing, and item upgrade changes for safehouse workshops, as well as an overhaul of how enemies and elites spawn in the open world.
In addition, we’re preparing the first iteration of our Faction Quest system, which will add more structure and purpose to faction-based gameplay. We’re also working on additional quality-of-life improvements, optimizing the overall gameplay flow, and expanding the world with new areas and dangers.
On the technical side, we’re focusing on improving the server stability, particularly addressing the issues some of you experienced during the last playtest. We’re also working on improvements to player FOV and camera behavior. And as always, a range of bug fixes and general polish is ongoing to improve the game stability and general gameplay experience.
The team has also started the initial steps for a safehouse UI/UX rework (based on the great feedback we received from you—our community), which is planned to arrive later this year.
We know this kind of work isn’t always the most visible between playtests, and from the outside it can feel like progress is slow. However, it’s an important part of building a stronger, more stable foundation for what’s coming next. We’ll do our best to keep you regularly updated on our development progress and what is coming next. in the near future.
Thank you all for your patience and continued support.
