Greetings, Scavengers!
Since our last development update following the July playtest, the team has continued working on new features, content, and improvements for Persist Online.
Today, we’d like to give you another overview of what is coming in the next Pre-Alpha update, what is currently in development, and what we have planned for the months ahead.
Ongoing Development
- Expanding the World
- Our team continues to expand the world with new content, such as areas, factions, nodes, a second Guild PvP Sector, and much more. These additions will offer more places to discover, new activities to take part in, and more reasons to explore the world.
- Safehouse UI/UX Rework
- The Safehouse rework we first announced in April has now entered the final stage of development and will soon move into internal testing with our QA team. Once this process is complete, we plan to share a preview of the redesigned Safehouse in a dedicated developer blog. The rework will then be released to our permanent testing group before being included in a future closed playtest with a wider group of invited testers.
- Combat Improvements
- Combat feel has been one of the most discussed topics during our previous playtests, and we have now reached an important milestone in our work on it. We are not ready to share the details just yet, but we look forward to showing you what the team has been working on in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!
Looking Further Ahead
Alongside the features and improvements already in active development, the team has several additional projects planned:
- Skills Rework
- The game design and balancing team will share more details on this in the future.
- General UI Improvements
- Several parts of the game interface will receive updates in the coming months, including action bars, party and group interfaces, and the general Guild menu UI.
- Tutorial Update
- The tutorial will be updated to incorporate the redesigned Safehouse and guide new players through its features with additional quests or triggers.
- Improved Cheat and Hack Detection
- We are continuing to strengthen our anti-cheat systems.
Much of this work happens behind the scenes and is not always visible between playtests. From the outside, that can sometimes make progress feel slow. However, these systems and improvements are an important part of building a stronger and more stable foundation for what comes next. Please remember that Persist Online is being developed by a small team of 20 people. We will continue doing our best to keep you regularly informed about our development progress and what lies ahead.
Thank you all for your patience and continued support.
— The Persist Online Team
