About the Game
What is Persist Online?
Persist Online is an MMORPG with zombies in a persistent open world filled with hundreds of other players. Survive in an unforgiving open world, where every building is accessible. Forge a deadly team with friends and claim what’s not yours. Take your loot to your safehouse to craft better gear.
Can I play with others or my friends?
Yes, you can play with others and your friends. Create a party with 4 of your friends or other players – you even create a guild or join one.
Is there PvP in the game?
Of course! In Persist Online you can kill any player you encounter and steal their loot – even your party members, guild mates and friends due to friendly fire. Read more about PvP in Persist Online here.
Is there a class system?
Persist Online does not use a traditional class system; it’s all about developing your character and how you want to play it. Choose from a variety of firearms and melee weapons that you can level up and earn special active and passive skills – leveling up professions also give you abilities and perks that you can use for your weapon builds. Adapt your character to your specific play style with our 25 available skill trees.

When will the game be released?
The game is still in development and we don’t have a full release (or Early Access) date yet.
How much will the game cost?
No final decision made yet.
On which game devices can you play Persist Online?
The game will be released on PC and MAC. We currently don`t have any plans to release the game on consoles or mobile devices.
Which operating systems will be supported?
Windows, Linux and macOS.
Does Persist Online support controllers?
There are no plans yet, but we love to add this in the future.
What languages will the game support?
We are planning to release the game many languages (incl. English, German, French and many others). However, please note that our playtests will be in English only.
On which gaming platforms/stores will the game be released?
We plan to release the game through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Is Persist Online available for wishlisting on Steam?
Yes, you can wishlist the game on Steam here. This is currently one of the best ways to support us.
Will Persist Online support modding?
No, there will be no possibility to develop mods for our game.
About the Game Developement and Playtests
How can I get involved in the game’s development?
Join the official playtests and provide us with your feedback, ideas and suggestions.
Where can I sign up for the playtests?
You can signup for our playtests through our website.
How do you select players for the playtests?
The selection for the playtest invites are done by a random draw from all signed up players. Good luck!
How do I find out that I have been invited to a playtest?
If you have been invited to a playtest, you will receive an official email with all test details including the date/time as well as the download link of your client.
When is the next playtest?
There is no fix schedule for playtests. Keep an eye on our Discord server and our Social Media channels. Once a new playtest is coming, we will post it there.
During playtests, am I allowed to stream or make videos of the game?
Yes, you can stream the game and create content. We would LOVE to see videos and streams of Persist Online!
What engine do you use for the game developement?
Unity for the front-end. The back-end is mostly written by our programmers.

What is CipSoft?
CipSoft was founded in June 2001 and emerged from the success of Tibia, one of the first MMORPGs ever, which has been online since 1997. The independent company now employs 110 people. Please find more information at www.cipsoft.com.
Who is working on Persist Online?
The core team now consists of 20 people, but has access to all departments and the entire expertise of the company.
Do you plan to hire more people for the Persist team?
There are some positions available in the team. You can always check available vacancies on our career page.
Note: We don’t offer any remote jobs and you have to relocate to Regensburg, Germany. Also you need to be able to communicate in German fluently.
