Greetings Scavengers,
We’re excited to let you know that the next Persist Online Playtest is just around the corner!
While we don’t have the exact start date and time locked in just yet, we’ll share all details in the very near future.
To stay updated, please make sure to join our Discord and follow us on social media (@PersistOnline), as this is where we’ll announce the exact date and time first. And if you haven’t already, you can sign up for the playtest here. Selected players will receive an invitation email shortly before the playtest begins, containing everything they need to join.
Developer Comment: Our goal is to start the new Playtest at some point this week.
Main Playtest Focus: Sector (Guild PvP)
The main focus for this Playtest is our new Guild PvP feature called “Sectors”. Sectors are specific contested areas in the open world which guilds can fight over for a special rewards. Read more about Sectors in Feature Preview Blog.
Note that during this test only our first Sector “The Junkyard” is available for testing.
Developer Comment: The Sector location is ~1.6 km south-east of the Junction stronghold – past Thatcher Farms.
Additional Infos:
Test Times:
Every day (at some time between 6-10 PM local server time) the Junkyard Sector enters its contested stage, so that guilds can jump in the area and conquer the center for the main reward.
Please note, that the exact Sector contested times are displayed hours in advance in-game through the the Nodes & Sector tab of the Character Menu (C-Button), so you and your guild can prepare for the fight.
Sector Participation:
Participation in a Sector fight is tied to guild membership, which means that Guild Leaders, Officers, and Members can take part in the event, secure objectives, use the Sector respawn system, and fight to capture the Sector for their guild. Players without a guild can still enter the area while the Sector is contested, but they do so at a significant disadvantage: they cannot damage guild members inside the Sector, even while using Aggressor Mode (P), while guild players can kill them without losing Karma.
So we strongly suggest to either join an already existing guild on your Pre-Alpha server, or create your own guild before you jump into the Junkyard Sector. If you want to create a new guild you can do so at any of the Guild Terminals that can be found in every Faction Stronghold (for example at Community Center -1st floor- in Junction).
What Else Has Changed in this Playtest?
This Playtest includes many additional changes, from balance and content adjustments to several bugfixes. All details about the newest Pre-Alpha update and recent changes can be found in our recent Patchnotes.
