In preparation for the start of the new Playtest, we released a new Pre-Alpha patch that includes several balance and weapon changes as well as bugfixes.
1. Balance Changes
- Reduced the slow effect of “Paralyzed” from 80% to 60%.
- Increased the drop chance of equipment items from Elite kills, and slightly reduced the drop chance of recipes and bufffood.
2. Weapon Changes

- Increased the weapon identity bonus damage while moving forward from 20% to 40%.
- Desert Eagle
- Increased attack speed by 23%.
- Reduced reload time by 50%.
- Increased crosshair recovery by 25%.
- Reduced recoil spread by 67%.

- Increased attack speed by 24%.

3. Bugfixes
- Fixed a bug where “Provoking Hits” could incorrectly trigger while using weapons other than a Hammer.
- Fixed a bug where the First Aid skill “No One Left Behind” could not be used while reloading.
- Fixed a bug where items attached to a previously sent mail were incorrectly displayed when composing a new mail immediately afterwards.
- Fixed a bug where swapping an item in the Safehouse storage could cause it to become invisible while being held in the characters hand.
- Fixed a bug that could cause defeated creatures to perform unrealistic flips or tumbling animations on death.
- Fixed a bug where the player’s backpack could disappear when looting it after respawning from death.
- Fixed a bug where the bodies of defeated creatures would change their position after hitting the ground.
- Fixed a bug where filtering the displayed Nodes in the Nodes tab was not saved correctly.
- Fixed a bug where canceling a drag-and-drop recycle action in the Safehouse moved the item into the player’s inventory instead of returning it to its original slot.
- Fixed a bug where newly created characters had all starter items automatically unequipped and sent to their mailbox.
- Fixed a bug where items being dragged with the mouse cursor during death were incorrectly retained after respawning instead of being dropped with the rest of the player’s inventory.
- Fixed a bug where, after death, a destroyed backpack was still visually equipped for player characters.
- Fixed a bug where dropped loot could appear inside walls or other objects.
- Fixed a bug where quest items during the quest Picture Perfect were very difficult to loot.
- Fixed several bugs that could occur when players used the command /suicide while inside the Safehouse.
- Fixed several incorrect tooltips.
- Fixed several localization issues.
