This patch refines NPC interactions by introducing random appearances, new skill behaviors, and improved combat tweaks. The updates focus on making enemy and allied NPC encounters feel more natural and varied, while also addressing several gameplay bugs and enhancements in other areas.

1. Content

  • New Additions & Enhancements:

    • Added a new icon for the Biker skirt.

    • Added an appearance randomizer for NPC enemies.

    • Added a new stronghold for The Thatcher Cooperative.

    • Added Thatcher NPCs to the new stronghold.

    • Added a small sell price to all recipes in the game.

    • Added new skill behaviors to NPCs.

    • Added Lootables, Harvestables, and enemies to the new industrial area.

  • Gameplay & Environment:

    • Fixed mines so they no longer deal damage to players within a safe zone.

    • Spitters now have a chance to interrupt the player (removes any active status effects).

    • Reworked the terrain and area around the Amber Farms zone.

    • Added new mutants starting in R5 (Overseer, Enforcer, and Wraith – all still using placeholder models).

    • Added random looks to guards/huntable NPCs.

    • Removed level requirements from quests in R4+.

    • Reworked the faction mechanic for both Legacy and The Thatcher Cooperative. Now, both factions require their respective supplies to be broken up with crowbars and donated at the donation points beneath Fort Erf (in Legacy’s bunker) or to Delilah Harper (Thatcher NPC now located in the new stronghold).

    • Added visual spawning and despawning of faction harvestables after looting them.

    • Fixed pivot points for the pitchfork.

    • Adjusted lights across some patches.

2. Balancing

  • General Adjustments:

    • Enabled indoor enemies to also pull nearby enemies.

    • Tweaked various values on HP, effects, and more across all mutants.

    • Increased crafting costs of medical items.

    • Decreased time to cook remarkable and better recipes.

    • Increased repair costs.

    • Reduced crafting costs for higher quality tools.

    • Reduced spawn rate of Elites among Thatcher and Legacy NPCs slightly.

  • Weapon & Combat Tweaks:

    • Increased damage of SMGs with a 30 magazine capacity.

    • Reduced accuracy of SMGs.

    • Increased damage of MGs.

    • Increased melee range attack for a new NPC.

    • Enabled retreat while firing for all ranged NPCs.

    • Tweaked numbers so the NPC default attack feels similar to the zombies.

    • Increased ratio of electronic raw materials on electronic junk items.

    • Increased raw material gain for Training Missions and decreased their time consumption.

    • Added a 50% accuracy bonus to the skill “Iron Grip”.

  • Safehouse Progression:

    • Decreased the time to increase room tier in the safehouse by 50%.

    • Increased the costs to increase room tier in the safehouse.

3. Safehouse

  • Interface & Display Improvements:

    • Forge, Gunsmithy, Armory, and Tailory now show the minimum skill level required for crafting.

    • Workshops now show the minimum skill level required for the “Increase quality” improvement.

    • Updated room tier bonus texts.

  • Additional Adjustments:

    • Added a quality filter to the Kitchen.

    • Completing Dispatch Center Expansions (which increase the number of available missions) now rolls the additional missions immediately.

    • Updated Dispatch Center Expansions descriptions and tooltips.

    • Fixed the Item Refund Dialog so that uninitialized entries no longer show and can be closed again.

    • Fixed the Cooking Room to display the chance for a refund after selecting a recipe again.

4. Further Changes

  • Bug Fixes & Stability:

    • Fixed a bug where the server experienced performance spikes when creates despawned.

    • Fixed the hit collider of the Dreadnought.

    • Fixed quest items from Lootables not being merged when using Loot All.

    • Fixed Loot All not taking cash.

    • Fixed the behavior tree wake-up mechanism.

    • Fixed a bug where crafting time in the safehouse was not shown correctly.

    • Fixed an issue in NPCs where feet were animated in the wrong movement direction.

    • Fixed a bug where it was possible to apply the hit+effect of “Aggressive Onslaught” with non-hammer weapons.

    • Fixed the cooldown in the tooltip for the skill “Vital Stabilization”.

    • Fixed dead NPCs that were still glowing when the skill “Nightvision” was active.
